Christmas Roundup

So Christmas has come and gone here at stately Sanders Manor, and we head into the last few days of the holiday break. Time to assess a bit, and time to cover the goodies that should be discussed in the near future.

The gifting was good to your snarling host, enough so that I'll need multiple posts to cover all that should be said. I'm not going to list everything here, but key bits are: an iPod, the Lego Snowspeeder (the Collector's Edition big set), an armoire to store all of our board & card games in, and a new saucepan. The iPod and the Snowspeeder will probably get covered more in the future.

Karin received some good toys from some lovely individual as well, and I've been playing with some of them :-) A few games that were recommended from Defective
Yeti
have seen some family playtime, and we just finished watching the first episode from her new Firefly DVD set. That show was truly too good for Fox, a point they relished in proving throughly.

On the gaming front, I've been playing through the first Deus Ex (never finished it and wanted to do so before starting DX2), and a lot of Beyond Good and Evil (super short review - it's really good). A smattering of Billy Hatcher rounds out the console side. I've also been playing a lot of Yohoho Puzzle Pirates which is a pretty cool game. I'll try to write more about all of these before getting back to the grindstone next week. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out what songs go on a Pirate themed playlist for when I be puzzlin' afiercely Yarrr! Suggestions taken in the lovely new holiday comments section :-)
